Egyptian Lebanese company for Marble & Granite
Who we are ?

The Egyptian Lebanese Company for Marble and Granite - ELCO, was established in May 1995 at the 6th of October industrial zone in the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. Manufacturing began in September 1997 for mostly local Projects, for the public and private sectors. Over the next few years, ELCO has focused on integrating all aspects of the industry starting from the quarrying to the fabrication through to the packing, distribution and shipping of the final product with the help of our Carrara, Italy based sister company Naamex, which has helped us solidify our footsteps in the European, African and Asian markets. 2010 saw an exciting time for ELCO, as we merged with Mega Marble, a quarrying and fabricating facility established in 2007 along with Modern Construction Company, MCC established in 1993. The merge had successfully deepened our reach in the local market and has helped us be a proud contributor to such prestigious Projects like the remodeling of Hurghada International Airport, the APM (Automated People Mover) and Aerotel (now Le Méridien) at the Cairo International Airport and Al-Azhar Park to name a few. Italian made machinery, skilled labor with decades of experience and a pioneering management team make the backbone of our organization. Our pledge to excellent customer relations, our community payback programs along with our unprecedented commitment to the green initiative separates ELCO from most of its competitors in the region.

Green initiative

ELCO embraces a green environment both in stone waste procedures and fabrication processes. ELCO utilizes state of the art machines with water filtration systems that captures stone dust particles. The waste water put back into the sanitation system is 96% clean. Throughout each work station specialized drains have been created to trap dust and debris so water runoff is clean. ELCO addresses considerable resources to ensure the protection of the environment and the safety and well being of our employees. Not only does granite enhance the beauty and elegance of homes and commercial businesses, but it contributes to healthy living. Granite is the second hardest substance to a diamond. Throw away your plastic or wood cutting boards which trap food particles, fibers from your sponge, rag or paper towels and leave chemical residue from cleaning products. You can cut right on your Countertops! Sanitation consists of mild soap and water. Look at restaurants, medical centers, and office reception areas. Their choice is natural stone! ELCO continuously works to become an environmental responsibility leader and in turn had been granted an official appreciation from the Environmental Compliance Office and Sustainable Development (ECO SD) supporting small and medium enterprises under the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).
